The National Communications Authority NCA has destroyed over 100 fake mobile phones. These phones were taken from different markets in Accra.

This action was taken to protect people who buy phones. Counterfeit phones can be of poor quality and might not work properly.

The NCA stated that destroying these phones is important for consumer safety. It also helps ensure that only approved devices are sold.

The seized phones were found to be not genuine. They did not meet the standards set for mobile devices.

This is part of the NCA's ongoing effort to fight the sale of fake and harmful electronic products.

People are advised to buy phones from authorised dealers.
