MTN Ghana has rolled out a new self-service platform for SIM swaps. Customers can now replace their SIM cards themselves.
This service is for cards that are lost, damaged, or stolen. It aims to make the process easier for customers.
The platform was launched in Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region. The launch event happened on March 11, 2026.
MTN offices in Tishigu, Tamale, hosted the launch ceremony. This move is expected to significantly reduce queues at MTN service centers.
Customers will no longer need to travel to an office to get a new SIM card. They can manage the replacement process independently.
The company stated this is an innovative step to improve customer experience. It offers convenience and saves valuable time for users.
