The Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, visited the Weija Dam.
He also saw the Weija Water Treatment Plant to check how things are working there.
The minister was concerned about people building homes and structures too close to the dam.
This building near the dam is a serious danger to the area. It can affect the dam's function and safety.
Minister Adjei promised that he will take action to stop this problem.
His visit was part of a tour to see important water sites across the country.
