Minister Samuel Nartey George has explained why Ghana is pushing for SIM card re-registration again. He said that old data might be wrong.
Mr. George mentioned that some of the information already collected may have been obtained through illegal means. He spoke at a meeting with reporters on March 17.
He warned that carrying forward this potentially bad data into a new system could cause problems. The Minister believes it is important to start fresh with accurate information.
