Residents affected by a fire in Konongo have been advised not to rebuild their homes at the burned site. The Municipal Chief Executive for Asante Akyem Central Municipality, Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, issued the warning.
The fire broke out on Saturday evening. It affected structures located along the railway line in Konongo.
Several wooden buildings were destroyed in the incident. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Mr. Aidoo highlighted safety concerns as the primary reason for his directive. He stated that rebuilding in the same location poses a risk to residents.
