The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has launched a renewed effort to combat sanitation challenges by deploying a dedicated enforcement task force. Known colloquially as “Saman Saman” or “Tankas,” these officers are now actively patrolling the metropolis to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
The initiative aims to significantly improve hygiene standards across Kumasi. As part of the ongoing exercise, sanitation officers have begun inspecting various areas to identify and address any breaches of environmental laws, signaling a stricter approach to public cleanliness.
