Community groups in Kenyasi, Ahafo Region, have called for police officers who have stayed in the area for too long to be transferred. They believe this move will help address the rising crime rates.

Frank Kofi Adusei, who leads the Omanbotantim Association, shared concerns in an interview. He pointed out that some police officers have been stationed in Kenyasi for more than three years.

This extended stay, according to the community leaders, may be reducing the effectiveness of law enforcement in the area.

The groups suggest that bringing in new officers could inject fresh energy and strategies into policing efforts.

They hope a change in personnel will lead to a more robust response to criminal activities.

The community leaders are urging the Ghana Police Service to consider their request to improve public safety.
