Civil society groups in Kenyasi have asked for police officers to be moved to new areas. They say this is needed to fight a rise in crime.
Frank Kofi Adusei, who leads the Omanbotantim Association, spoke about the issue. He said that some police officers have been in Kenyasi for more than five years.
Mr. Adusei believes that having officers stay in one place for too long can make things less effective. He feels a fresh set of officers could bring new energy to policing in the area.
The groups hope that changing the police presence will help improve safety for everyone in Kenyasi.
They have made their request to the relevant authorities. The goal is to make law enforcement stronger.
