Community groups in Kenyasi, Ahafo Region, are asking for police officers who have stayed too long in the area to be transferred. They believe this change could help improve how crime is handled.
Frank Kofi Adusei, who leads the Omanbotantim Association, spoke about this issue. He stated that some police officers have been working in Kenyasi for several years.
Mr. Adusei believes that bringing in new officers could bring fresh perspectives and energy to law enforcement efforts in the community.
The groups feel that the current situation with officers staying in one place for extended periods may be affecting their ability to effectively combat the rise in criminal activities.
They are calling on the Ghana Police Service to consider their request for a rotation of personnel in Kenyasi.
The aim is to strengthen police presence and operations to tackle the growing crime concerns.
