The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has ordered all persons and companies on land belonging to the Ghana Grid Company Limited GRIDCo to vacate immediately.
This directive applies to anyone operating under high-voltage transmission pylons across the country.
A one-month ultimatum has been issued for compliance.
The Minister warned that failure to leave these areas will result in forceful eviction.
Any items left behind under the pylons will be confiscated by authorities.
These confiscated items will then be auctioned off.
This action aims to ensure the safety and integrity of the national power transmission infrastructure.
GRIDCo lands are crucial for the safe operation of electricity transmission lines.
