Children in the Oti Region are being encouraged to report any form of abuse they experience. Ella Faith Ashong, the Acting Regional Director for the Department of Children, made this appeal.
She urged children to overcome fear and speak out about violations against them. This is part of an effort to break the culture of silence around child abuse.
Ashong also called on communities across the Oti Region and the entire country. She asked them to help create safe environments where children feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
The goal is to ensure that children can report abuse without worrying about negative consequences.
This initiative aims to protect children and ensure their well-being.
The Department of Children is working to provide support for children who come forward.
