A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness has asked the government to stop charging money for people who want to join security forces.

The group explained that asking for application fees makes it difficult for many Ghanaians to even try and get a job in services like the police and military.

They say this practice has been happening for a long time.

The Center believes this should change so that everyone has a fair chance to apply.

More information on the group's request was shared in a press release.

The specific security services mentioned include the Ghana Police Service and others.
