The Electricity Company of Ghana in the Ashanti South Region reported a significant drop in stolen electrical parts. This reduction is due to efforts by the Regional Security Council (REGSEC).

Ing Kofi Adjabeng, the Ashanti South Regional General Manager for the ECG, acknowledged REGSEC's help. He stated that their involvement was a key factor in stopping this trend.

The improved security has led to more stable electricity for residents. Communities now experience fewer power cuts because conductors are less often stolen.

The theft of electricity conductors previously caused frequent disruptions to power supply. It also led to financial losses for the ECG.

The Ashanti South General Manager confirmed that regular meetings and joint operations with REGSEC made a difference. These actions helped to catch and deter thieves.

This partnership shows how different state agencies can work together effectively. It aims to improve public services and reduce crime.
