The Ashanti South Regional General Manager for the ECG, Ing Kofi Adjabeng, praised the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC). He said REGSEC helped greatly in stopping the theft of electricity conductors.

Mr. Adjabeng reported a large drop in people stealing parts of power lines. This has made electricity supply much better for customers.

The theft of these conductors used to cause many problems. It led to power cuts and made services unreliable. The ECG faced big losses due to the stolen materials.

The improved situation means customers now experience fewer outages. It also saves the company money that was spent replacing stolen equipment.

The partnership between ECG and REGSEC focused on better security and swift action against thieves. This joint effort yielded positive results for power distribution in the region.

The general manager emphasized the importance of continued cooperation. This will ensure that the region maintains a reliable power supply for all residents and businesses.
