The Mayor of Accra, Michael Allotey, has issued a stern warning to people who dump waste carelessly.
He said that anyone caught breaking the rules will face the full force of the law.
Mayor Allotey explained that no amount of pleading will save offenders from punishment.
He made these remarks in an interview.
The Mayor revealed that two individuals have already been arrested for indiscriminate waste dumping.
This action by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly aims to keep the city clean.
