A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness, or CenPOA, is asking the government to stop charging money for people who want to join Ghana's security forces. This includes agencies like the Ghana Police Service and others.
CenPOA stated that these application fees can prevent many qualified individuals from even trying to join the service. They believe the current system creates barriers for job seekers.
The group issued a statement explaining their position. They want to make it easier for citizens to seek careers in protecting the nation.
