A group called the Center for Public Opinion and Awareness has asked the government to stop charging people to apply for jobs in security forces.

These forces include the Ghana Police Service and others. The group believes charging fees is unfair to many citizens.

The Center for Public Opinion and Awareness issued a statement explaining their position.

They stated that people wanting to join these important services should not have to pay money just to submit their applications.

This has been a practice for many years.

The group feels this fee prevents some qualified people from even trying to get into the services.

They have urged the government to consider removing this charge.

This would make it easier for more Ghanaians to apply for roles in national security.
