A court in Accra has ordered Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as Wontumi, to start presenting his defence. This is in relation to a case where he is accused of mining on his concession without proper approval.

The Criminal Court 4 Division of the High Court in Accra made the ruling. The judge decided that the prosecution had presented enough evidence for Mr. Boasiako to answer the charges.

Mr. Boasiako is accused of permitting two individuals to mine on his mining concession. This action allegedly occurred without the required ministerial approval.

The prosecution presented its case, and the court found it sufficient to require a defence from Mr. Boasiako.

This legal action follows investigations into alleged illegal mining activities.

The court will continue to hear the case as Mr. Boasiako presents his defence.
