The High Court in Accra has told Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as Wontumi, that he must now defend himself in court. This is part of a trial where he is accused of breaking mining laws.

The court is looking into claims that two people were allowed to mine on land belonging to Wontumi. This happened without the required permission from the government.

The judge overseeing the case has ruled that the prosecution has presented enough evidence. This means Wontumi must now provide his own evidence and explanation.

The order was given after the judge considered the arguments made by the prosecution. They had asked the court to dismiss any claims that there was no case to answer.

The trial continues as Wontumi prepares to present his defense.
