Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, has spoken out about the conviction of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.
Mr. Antwi-Boasiako is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party and is widely known as Chairman Wontumi.
Dr. Boakye-Danquah described the imprisonment of Chairman Wontumi as a sad moment for Ghana.
He stated that the case appears to be an act of political victimisation.
The lecturer made these remarks during a discussion on Asempa FM.
