A Magistrate Court in Tarkwa has ordered two individuals to pay a fine or go to jail.
Each man must pay GH¢2,400 or spend three months working hard in prison.
The court found them guilty of using mining equipment that was not registered.
Authorities have also told them to stop their illegal mining work immediately.
This action is part of efforts to control unregistered mining operations.
