The High Court in Accra has granted more time to two individuals involved in the Accra SkyTrain case. Solomon Asamoah, former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund, and Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, former Board Chairman, were given this extension.

The court has set a new deadline for them to file their defences. They now have until September 23, 2026, to submit their legal documents to the court.

This case involves allegations related to the $2 million Accra SkyTrain project. The specific details of the allegations are part of the court proceedings.

Both Asamoah and Ameyaw-Akumfi previously held leadership positions at the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund, an entity involved in the project.

The court's decision allows the accused more time to prepare their defence. This is a standard legal procedure when requested by the defence.

The case will continue after the defence has filed their required documents. Further court dates will be set by the judiciary.
