Six individuals have been convicted by the Prempeh Assembly District Court in Kumasi for illegally dumping refuse at the Otumfuo Roundabout in Kejetia. The court handed down a fine of GHS1,200 to each offender, with an alternative of a 10-day jail term for non-payment.
Five of the convicted individuals have reportedly paid their fines, while one is yet to settle the penalty. The conviction highlights ongoing efforts to curb unsanitary practices and maintain public cleanliness in the city.
