New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has declared Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "war criminal" and is exploring legal avenues to potentially arrest him during an upcoming visit.
Mamdani stated that Netanyahu has been charged by the International Criminal Court and is consulting the city's Law Department to determine if local police have the authority to detain the Prime Minister upon his arrival in September.
