The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rejected the High Court's conviction of its Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako.

The party referred to the court's judgment as a "travesty of justice." This statement was made during a press conference in Accra.

The NPP has vowed to challenge the ruling at the Court of Appeal.

The conviction relates to Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.

The party's General Secretary, Justin Kodua, addressed the press conference.
