A circuit court in Accra has sentenced a man to five years in jail. The 35-year-old was found guilty of stealing copper cables.

The cables were valued at GH₵50,000. They were stolen from an Electricity Company of Ghana ECG facility.

The court convicted the man on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and stealing. He received a sentence of five years imprisonment with hard labour.
