Lawyer Martin Kpebu has spoken out against the detention of a senior nursing officer. Salomey Awity Baffoe was held in custody for two weeks.

Mr. Kpebu believes the court should not have ordered her detention. He stated that investigators could gather evidence from her phone without keeping her locked up.

The lawyer made his comments on a radio program. He expressed that there was no clear reason for the Adenta Circuit Court 1 to remand the nurse.

The case involves a Ghana Jollof dispute. Details of the dispute were not fully provided.

The Ghana Police Service has not yet released a statement on Mr. Kpebu's comments.
