The Accra High Court has instructed Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who is the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, to present his defence. This concerns charges related to illegal mining activities.
The alleged illegal mining took place on a concession in Samreboi, located in the Western Region.
The court made this order on Monday, March 16. This means the legal process will move forward with Chairman Wontumi's side presenting their case.
Chairman Wontumi and his company, Akonta Mining, are the parties involved in this court case.
