Ghana Communication Technology University has addressed reports circulating on social media. These reports claimed a court had issued an injunction against the university.
The university has stated that these claims are untrue. It insists that its current actions and decisions remain in full effect.
In a press release on March 13, 2026, Registrar Emmanuel Baidoo addressed the situation. The university confirmed it was served with a Motion on Notice for an Interlocutory Injunction.
This legal document was filed at the High Court. The filing was made by Professor Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa.
However, the university stressed that this legal application has not yet been heard by the court. Therefore, no order has been granted that would stop GCTU's operations.
The university urges the public to disregard the misinformation. GCTU emphasized its commitment to its ongoing operational procedures.
