The Ghana Bar Association has contacted the Chief Justice. They want him to make sure court breaks are respected.

The association said lawyers have complained about being asked to attend court during the legal vacation. This is not the usual practice.

Three law firms reported these issues. Their lawyers received notices to appear before judges.

The legal vacation is a period when courts typically close for a set time.

The Ghana Bar Association believes this practice should continue as normal.

They are asking the Chief Justice to intervene.

This ensures that lawyers can also take their rest during this period.

The Judicial Service has been asked to look into the matter.
