Lawyers for Freddie Blay, the former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, are taking legal action. They will appeal a court order that sent him to police custody. This happened because of a land dispute.

The dispute involves land located at Kitase in the Eastern Region. Mr Blay was placed in police custody following a court decision.

His legal team has announced their intention to file an appeal. The appeal will be lodged at the Koforidua High Court. The date set for this filing is March 17.
