Freddie Blay, the former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, is in police custody. The Akropong Circuit Court made the decision.
Mr Blay was arrested in relation to a property demolition that happened at Kitase in the Eastern Region. The circumstances surrounding the demolition are disputed.
The court ordered that Mr Blay should be remanded. This means he will stay in prison until his next court date.
The case has been adjourned. The next appearance in court will be on April 9.
