Freddie Blay, who previously led the New Patriotic Party, is currently in police custody. The Akropong Circuit Court issued the remand order.
This action follows his arrest in connection with a dispute over a property demolition. The incident occurred at Kitase in the Eastern Region.
Mr Blay's legal team appeared before the court. Court filings detail the charge relating to the property demolition.
The court heard arguments from both the prosecution and defense. The judge made the decision to remand Mr Blay.
His case has been formally adjourned to April 9. Further proceedings will take place on this date.
The reason for the property demolition and the extent of the dispute are still being investigated by authorities.
