Lawyers for Freddie Blay have announced their intention to appeal a court's decision. A Circuit Court in Akropong ordered Mr. Blay to be held in police custody.
The legal team will challenge this order at the High Court in Koforidua.
Mr. Blay is the former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
