Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Freddie Blay, is set to appeal a court's decision to remand him. His legal team announced this plan today.

The remand order stems from a land dispute. The dispute is located in Kitase in the Eastern Region. Freddie Blay was sent into police custody.

Lawyers stated their intention to file an appeal. This legal action will be taken at the Koforidua High Court.

The date for the appeal filing is March 17. The court will review the decision to remand Mr. Blay.
