A food vendor named Kande Seidu has been given a 20-day prison sentence. She operates at Alabar Market in Kumasi.
The sentence was handed down by District Court Two at Prempeh Assembly Hall. Her Worship Deborah Gyawa Donkor presided over the case.
The court found Seidu guilty of violating an order by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly. This order prohibits using open fire within the market.
