Concerns about fair trials in Ghana are about the entire legal process, not just the courts. This view was shared by legal practitioner Austin Kwabena Brako-Powers.

Mr Brako-Powers explained that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta's apprehension is understood within the context of extralegal processes.

He suggested that Ofori-Atta’s resistance to extradition stems from these broader procedural concerns.

The expert clarified that the issue is not an indictment of the judiciary's fairness.

Instead, it highlights potential challenges within the wider system of legal proceedings.
