Lawyers who cannot attend court during the legal vacation must ask the judge for permission. This was stated by Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr Justice Srem-Sai.

He said lawyers should not decide on their own to stop going to court. This is to make sure judges remain in charge of court cases.

The Deputy Attorney-General explained that this rule is important for keeping order in the courts.

He made these remarks regarding the practice of lawyers not attending court during vacation periods.

The Judicial Service manages court schedules and vacations.

Lawyers are expected to follow the established procedures for managing their court appearances.
