The Accra High Court has ordered Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, to present his defence. This is in relation to a case involving illegal mining activities.
The illegal mining activities allegedly took place on a concession owned by Chairman Wontumi.
The concession is located in Samreboi in the Western Region of Ghana.
The court issued its order on Monday, March 16.
Chairman Wontumi and his company, Akonta Mining, are parties in this legal matter.
The Judicial Service ordered the opening of the defence.
