The Accra High Court has instructed Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the NPP Ashanti regional chairman, to present his defence. This order is in connection with a case involving alleged illegal mining.

The alleged illegal mining activities took place on a concession in Samreboi, located in the Western Region. The court made this directive on Monday, March 16.

Mr. Antwi Boasiako, who is also known as Chairman Wontumi, and his company Akonta Mining are involved in the case.

The Judicial Service issued the order for Mr. Antwi Boasiako to begin his defence. Further details of the proceedings will be presented as they become available.
