A hospital has been ordered to pay a fine by a court. Central Aflao Hospital must pay GH¢5,000.

The Ho High Court made this decision. Justice Rosemarie Afua Asante presided over the case.

The hospital wanted to change its defence late. This was during a lawsuit about medical negligence.

A family brought the lawsuit. They say the hospital's actions led to the death of Linda Adua, a caterer.

The court found the hospital's request to amend its defence was too late.

This ruling means the legal process must be fair and timely.

The family is seeking justice for their loved one's death.
