Lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea has explained his absence during the sentencing of his client, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
Atta Akyea, a former Member of Parliament, said he was travelling in the United Kingdom to attend his daughter's graduation ceremony.
The court delivered its judgement on Chairman Wontumi's case on July 22, 2026.
Atta Akyea described the trip as important for his family.
