The Ghana Football Association Disciplinary Committee has charged an Asante Kotoko Welfare Officer. The charge stems from an incident that occurred during a match on Sunday.
The officer is accused of seizing a red card from the referee. This allegedly happened after Asante Kotoko's 1-0 loss to Karela United.
The incident took place at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale. The referee had shown a red card to Kotoko's goalkeeper, Mohamed Camara.
Camara was sent off after an incident during the game. The Welfare Officer's alleged action followed the goalkeeper's dismissal.
